Tina Carter owns Salon Care by Tina. She is very passionate about teaching African American women how to care for their hair and scalp. She is committed to her work and professionalism and believes in caring for hair from the inside out. She has been a Licensed Cosmetologist for 34 years. Tina Carter is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, where she was a successful salon owner. She relocated to Dallas, Texas, in 2009 and began advancing her career in the beauty industry. At the start of her career, she worked as an assistant to a highly experienced cosmetologist in St. Louis, which helped her learn the basics of African American hair care. She has gone to Bonner Brothers' hair shows and training classes, and has kept learning about Hair care,Chemical treatments,Silk press, Brazilian blowouts, Natural hair, Hair cutting, Color, and more. Tina is an award-winning educator, having led classes, seminars, and workshops on proper hair care for ethnic hair. She is also the author of "The World of Black Cosmetologists: A Guide for Black Cosmetologists."
